IAT Extends Humanitarian Aid to Flood-Affected Communities

Representatives of the Indian Association of Thailand (IAT) were assigned to distribute necessary provisions to flood victims.

The first point was the Baan Mai Lung Khon community. The village leader informed the residents to receive aid at the temple since their homes are still uninhabitable, with mud and debris filling the houses. Some homes couldn’t even be opened. We distributed 40 survival bags, 40 blankets, 50 brooms, 20 dustpans, and 30 bottles of concentrated cleaning solution. Everyone was deeply moved by the help because their homes were left with nothing usable.
The second point was the Baan Mai Lung Khon community school. The school hasn’t yet finished clearing the mud, so the principal stored the donated items on the second floor for now, as many students are still in shelters and unable to return to their homes or attend school. Once the school is cleared, the principal will distribute the items to the affected students. The school administration and teachers expressed their gratitude to the donors. We distributed 40 survival bags, 40 blankets, 50 brooms, 20 dustpans, and 20 bottles of concentrated cleaning solution.

The third point was the Koh Sai community. The village head informed us that the district had closed all roads to allow excavators and trucks to work efficiently. Therefore, we couldn’t deliver donations today, and the items are being stored at the Mae Sai branch, waiting for next week. The village head will notify us when it is safe to deliver directly to the victims. The items for distribution include 40 survival bags, 40 blankets, 40 brooms, 10 dustpans, and 25 bottles of concentrated cleaning solution.

The Indian Association of Thailand (IAT) would like to thank the members of the community for their contributions to this noble cause, providing humanitarian aid to the flood victims.
